In June 2013, DP World further strengthened its relationship with India’s premier gateway port, Jawaharlal Nehru Port, with the ceremonial signing of a concession agreement to develop a new 330-meter terminal project. The new single-berth terminal adds 800,000 TEUs of annual capacity to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port. The terminal is equipped with the latest technology and terminal equipment. With a draft of 16.2m alongside, the Nhava Sheva (India) Gateway Terminal is in prime position to handle 14,500-TEU vessels.

Connectivity
The meter quay line is supported by landside and other ancillary services, road and rail connectivity to the country’s major cargo generating hinterlands makes it the Terminal of Choice.
Linked to a vast network of inland container depots (ICD) in Pune, Nagpur, Ahmadabad, Hyderabad, Ludhiana and NCR Region through two sets of railway sidings, which ensure an efficient and successful operation. The Terminal is connected to India’s major highways and rail networks, which gives access to neighbouring Mumbai and to the hinterland of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and most of North India.
DP World Nhava Sheva has multimodal connectivity. It is located in Navi Mumbai on the West Coast of India. International standard, state-of-the-art infrastructure and cutting-edge IT systems place it among the elite list of world-class container terminals.
Road connectivity between DP World Nhava Sheva and the rest of the country is through the National Highway NH-4B and State Highway SH-54 through “last mile” road connectivity to the Terminal.
